Following President Trump’s bizarre and contradictory comments about immigration on Tuesday, many people were left wondering what his positions on immigration and amnesty actually are. In a tweet, he claims not to have changed his position:
As I made very clear today, our country needs the security of the Wall on the Southern Border, which must be part of any DACA approval.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 10, 2018
However, when asked pointedly by a reporter, the President stated that he has changed his position.
So, what is the truth? Why has the President, who was elected in large part for his strong position on immigration and amnesty, suddenly seem to have changed his positions? Many people are left wondering. On his Tuesday night show, Tucker Carlson gave voice to those who were left puzzled by Trump’s comments when he asked “what was the point of running for President?”
