Beverly Young Nelson’s accusations that Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore attempted to sexually assault her when he was an underage girl ignited a political firestorm and dealt a serious blow to Moore’s campaign. To substantiate her allegations, Ms. Nelson displayed her high school yearbook which, she claimed, purportedly had been signed by Moore. The authenticity of Moore’s supposed written message came under immediate suspicion, as parts of it seem to be written in a different hand. Moore demanded that the yearbook be produced for expert handwriting analysis. Accuser Nelson refused.
Now, with less than a week before the election Ms. Nelson has finally admitted that parts of Moore’s written message, she which she has been citing as evidence is, in fact, a forgery.
But remember, women never lie about this sort of thing. I guess they just forge evidence.
