Having failed to garner any national attention with his mediocre play, Oakland A’s catcher Bruce Maxwell looked to the National Football League for inspiration. He saw the fawning media coverage and effusive praise being heaped upon the anti-America protesters who were (and at this point, still are) taking a knee during the singing of the National Anthem. True, the protesting NFL players were not being praised by all, but they were being praised by those segments of society most important to an empty-headed 26-year-old baseball player – the news media, Hollywood, and of course ESPN and the rest of the sports media.
So, like any good attention-seeking race-obsessed dimwit would do, he bravely took to his knee while the National Anthem of his country played. Why? Well, he can’t really tell you – something about racism, or Trump sucks, or… you know what, not really the point. The point is that Little Bruce is a really really brave social justice warrior (or something)! You know what else Brave Little Bruce is? Under arrest!
It seems that Brave Little Bruce was arrested and charged with the felony of Aggravated Assault for allegedly pulling a gun on a female food delivery driver. See, I told you Bruce was brave!
I wonder if Brave Little Bruce will be playing badly again with the A’s next season or in the California Penal League. Say hi to Ricky Vaughn for me!
